Flutterby is a small jewellery business which designs and creates beautifully crafted handmade jewellery using gems, silver and freshwater pearls. Sally and Louisa, Flutterby founders, were ready to expand their sales into the online space with a new website which would not only showcase their jewellery, but also provide an opportunity for existing and new customers to purchase online.

Flutterby previously had a website with static pages displaying a few of their products, and were keen to retain their pantone colour scheme and logo. It was clear this design heritage was very important, and so we worked closely with Sally and Louisa to develop the site architecture, design and functionality in such a way that would complement their logo, colours and preferred styling. We were able to integrate additional features, such as a 'complete the look' cross-promotion section to maximise sales opportunities alongside dynamic delivery cost estimation within the shopping basket to give customers a clear final cost before checkout.

It was also important to Sally and Louisa that we supply them with a powerful and intuitive admin area which could grow in purpose and complexity as their business demands it. We recommended a powerful e-commerce platform called Lemonstand which allows very easy product maintenance, order/payment processing and content editing. We were also able to advise Flutterby on the most cost-effective payment processing system and hosting arrangements for their site which would adhere to industry requirements without breaking their budget.

Element25 worked hard to design then implement an immensely usable shopping experience. We work closely with a usability expert to ensure that the site flow is conversant with the latest research on e-commerce usability, and consequently the project delivers an easily navigated website combined with high converting product pages and checkout functionality.
