Appliances.co.uk is the UK's leading website for comparing prices and reviewing the latest domestic appliances. Their primary aim is to provide customers with the lowest prices on the widest range of appliances possible by comparing several stores in one place.

Element25 were approached to transform an existing high traffic website powered by a shopping.com API feed with a sophisticated, powerful and search engine optimised redesign that still offered an extremely user-friendly online shopping experience. It was vital that through redesign, redevelopment and search engine optimisation we did not neglect to first maintain then increase the site's previously high levels of traffic.

We created an automated caching system for popular site pages and added a full admin area to control the homepage and other content, including products, reviews and offers. This ensures the site could be readily enhanced and kept fully up to date, essential for all modern websites.

To encourage users to return to the site and facilitate further purchases, we also added a full membership system to allow users to add product reviews, make comments on blog entries and contribute posts to the forum. This content sets Appliances.co.uk apart from other appliance selling websites as it helps the buyer better understand the many products, make comparisons, and hear from other buyers to enable them to make the best decision and choose the best price.
